  1. CTFs

US CyberGames IV 2024

Last updated 12 months ago

Event Info: by (June 3rd - 9th).

I've never done a CTF where challenges lose value as more solve them! Each starts with 500 points, but can fall to 100. In most CTFs, challenges are worth different points based on difficulty. But here, the players' performance is what determines the worth of each challenge. Very cool! This CTF also had two rooms: "Beginner's Game Room" and "Open". Beginner's challenges start at 150 points and don't change. I got 1350 points and ranked 356th from solving 10 challenges. No official write-ups were offered post-CTF, but the creators stuck around to answer questions. My write-ups:

  • : Certified, Timing is Everything, The Email Where it Happens, and I Want to Believe

  • : Ding-O-Tron, Touch Grass, and Parts

Other players' write-ups: (aka bsdtrhodes), (all the beginner's pwn), (aka xhacka), (all the open's pwn), , , , (aka CyberDonald aka ), (aka pbchocolate), (aka NelsonPython), and .
